In pursuance of this vision, CHSUD underwent a research for States and Local Government on human settlements, and urban governance. One of such undertakings is the research conducted on the internally displaced in the north eastern part of Nigeria which aimed at regrafting of the IDPs to their origins due to activities of insurgents.
CHSUD continues to receive articles for its bi- annual journal publication. The articles received are peer-reviewed for thorough assessment. The latest edition was produced in June, 2015 with submissions from both within and outside the university. This makes it the 6th volume successfully published by CHSUD on State of African Cities.
